The Financial Analyst drives financial analysis, forecasting, reporting and operational support activities across the business. The Analyst primarily focuses on financial planning, forecasting processes, integrating strategy throughout the organization, supporting investment analysis, return assumptions, and monitoring investment performance, as well as tracking strategy KPIs for leadership and Board reporting. This position exercises a high level of accountability, flexibility, teamwork, good judgment, and attention to detail.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
Works with teams and leaders to update financial plans, analyze investment opportunities, build financial models to assess return potential, monitor results, and identify risks or opportunities based on data
Maintains models needed to accurately forecast financial outcomes
Analyzes current and past financial data and performance. Prepares reports and projections based on this analysis, highlighting trends and concerns
Gathers data from complex sources, reconciles data variances, and uses data to support analysis for decision making
Creates ad-hoc financial / metric models to assess the impact of planned business decisions on the organization
Supports other areas of the business as needed based on prioritization
Develops trust and partnership with key business partners
Supports team efforts and builds authentic relationships with individuals in work groups and teams
Consistently demonstrates and lives Point B cultural tenets and values
Participates in firm culture activities to connect regularly with other Point Bers (e.g., FW Ops Meetings, Geo Meetings)

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU’VE ALREADY DONE:
B.A. or B.S. degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
1-3years of experience in finance, consulting, or a related highly analytic field
Experience specific to investment analysis and/or M&A is highly desired
Strong analytical skills and financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models
Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
Solid understanding of finance and business concepts; strong financial and business acumen mindset with an ability to apply good judgement and professional integrity into decision-making
Familiarity with the following systems a plus: Salesforce, Tableau, Financial Force
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Passion for enabling data-based decision making

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The estimated salary range for this role is $58,000 - $93,500 USD per year. This salary range is provided as required by local and state law as applicable. Individual salaries vary on a number of factors including but not limited to geography, skills, education, experience and unique qualifications where applicable.
Bonuses are awarded at Point B’s discretion and are based upon individual contributions and overall firm performance.
