Job Description:

Position Summary:

Prepare packages and fill drums and pails package from totes, mixers, or storage tanks.
Load and unload chemicals, from tank cars, trucks or other containers, using material moving equipment.
May perform a variety of other tasks relating to shipment of products.
May gauge or sample shipping tanks and test them for leaks.

Essential Functions:
Support all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations.
Ability to adhere to safety rules to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Boots, Safety Clothing, Hard Hat, Safety Goggle/Glasses, Respirator, Mask, Gloves)
Confer with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, and product quality.
Perform general warehouse activities, such as opening containers, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory, and weighing and checking materials.
Prepare packages, label and fill containers for operators to fill from totes, mixers, or storage tanks
Check conditions and weights of containers to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading and unloading
Clean interiors and exteriors of tanker trucks, semi-bulk and non-bulk packages using mechanical spray nozzles.
Unload bulk trailer contents to bulk storage, semi bulk storage or mixers using the appropriate transfer method.
Assists with managing the inventory of the drumming/pailing material storage location including FIFO
Maintain the housekeeping, 5S standards, cleanliness and organization of the operational areas.
This list is not all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the shift and overall plant.

Requirements:
Position Requirements
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Minimum of 6 months experience working in a chemical manufacturing or warehouse environment
Eligibility Requirements:
Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed
Ability and willingness to wear a respirator as required
Ability and willingness to operate a fork truck and yard dog tractor
