Duties
The Specialist, Print Production & Materials Management is responsible for managing marketing materials from development (agency/marketing concept) through the review process, production and dissemination.
Skills
Exceptional communication skills are required to build and maintain strong relationships with marketing and other internal partners. The ability to explain in a clear and concise manner, technical issues that may impact production and delivery. (ex. complex vs. simple print projects)
Must be able to prioritize workload and meet marketing demands on a daily basis.
This position must develop a strong working knowledge of the review process and the electronic review committee program.
Attention of complicated details in all aspects of creative and print production is essential for successful project completion.
Must have expertise of graphic arts software programs (for Macintosh operating systems) to communicate with agency production counterparts to review projects prior to disk release.
Technical expertise of print production is essential for communication with suppliers, binderies, fulfillment vendors, etc.
Project Development:
Work closely with marketing operations managers and brand managers to develop highly effective marketing programs and marketing materials.
Consult with brand on marketing strategy Manage involvement for budget, production timelines, etc with purchasing.
Preliminary review of project specifics (agency account executive and production managers) Provide benchmarked estimates for financial placeholder to expedite budget approval.
Regulatory Process:
Review agency and non-agency regulatory job tracking forms for accuracy, consistency and completeness of requirements prior to submission.
First pass approval in eRC system to provide last minute accuracy check prior to submission.
Manage electronic projects at proceed to disk status Release files to supplier at proceed to disk status Supplier proofs received and uploaded into regulatory review system RC and print manager to submit finished printed samples for release for non-agency submitted projects Manage electronic supplier and/or agency of record to submit final material samples to regulatory for release for use
Print Production:
Review and/or write print specifications to submit to purchasing for generating E-sourcing event Estimates reviewed for accuracy Revised print specifications as needed Project awarded and reviewed with supplier Purchase requisition issued Disk released to supplier PDF proofs uploaded into eRC for print and non-print projects Print supplier provides final samples to RC/Print Manager for release.
Work closely with RCPL on process improvements (i.e.: eliminating duplicities, increasing transparency) Receive and proof new and/or updated PI's for printing.
Co-manage existing paper program with purchasing and consult on improvements to program Proofing and approval of re-orders and new reprint articles
Education
Bachelor's degree
Pharmaceutical experience preferred
