Requirements
As the direct tax manager for the UK Porsche entities you will be responsible for the management of the Company’s direct tax obligations and will divide your time across two substantial operational business whilst ensuring where synergies exist they are applied consistently across both businesses. The role requires at all times to ensure integrity and compliance with all applicable legislation and group tax policy, with a full understand of the direct tax risks the businesses face and how the risks are controlled and mitigated. The role requires the provision of robust advice to the operational and financial areas of the business where direct taxation must be considered.
The individual will should be confident in their ability to operate and work with all levels within the organisation with a proven ability to communicate and engage with multiple stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
Able to bring and present new ideas that support the objectives of the businesses in a tax effective way but within the businesses risk appetite.
Understand the sales distribution function and the challenges that a Retail Business faces , balanced against compliance and system limitations.
The individual should be Chartered Tax Advisor (“CTA”) and/or qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA) with a minimum of 5 years’ qualification experience, ideally gained in a sales organisation or retail environment.
Must be able to demonstrate a proven commercial awareness of the impact of tax issues on the business, with the ability to communicate with stakeholders that are not tax specialists and guide stakeholders during tax audits and investigations.
