Then this is the role for you. Loblaw Agency is currently looking for a Senior CRM Copywriter to join our team. The Senior CRM Copywriter will work in partnership with a Senior CRM Designer and will play an integral role on our Loblaw Agency team. The chosen candidate will develop and lead creative CRM initiatives – primarily email solutions – in support of a brands within the President’s Choice® family.

Primary location will be our Loblaw offices at Bathurst and Lakeshore, Toronto ON. Secondary locations such as 1 President Choice Circle, Brampton ON may be required as needed. Loblaw has a flexible work arrangement, with opportunity to work remotely. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the Senior CRM Designer to develop industry leading B2C email that is customized, engaging and on-brand
  • Contribute, through a creative approach, to the constant evolution of our customer email communications through the lifecycle, including on-boarding, acquisition, retention, upsell and referral
  • Knowledge and recommendations of best-in-class email strategies and tactics (e.g. optimizing email for social and mobile, subscription, in-app messages and privacy policies)
  • Contributing to creative brainstorming initiatives
  • Adjust writing tone, language and message to address different consumer profiles based on data insights
  • Collaborate with the Content team and other Creative teams to leverage shareable content across channels that encourages engagement
  • Integrate with creative teams and an over-arching campaign idea for convergence with larger campaigns
  • Keep abreast of current trends and technological developments and identify ways to apply them into your work
  • Working with project managers and resource managers to ensure timely delivery of assets
  • Present and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma, new media arts, creative advertising or equivalent
  • At least 5+ years' experience writing with a focus on CRM communications in an agency environment
  • An understanding of email, in-app, and other messaging standards and best practices for digital copy
  • Strong understanding of the creative process
  • Ability to apply insight-driven copy to address various engagement audiences (e.g. highly engaged, actives, lapsed and dormants) with specific messages.
  • Fully proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Team player – able to collaborate with all levels of internal and external partners
  • Confident in presenting and articulating their work
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to use minimal character counts to maximum effect
  • Loves to work hard and be a self-starter
