Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Trainer to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Learning and Development, the Clinical Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs on clinical technology, clinical standard operating procedures, and clinical outcomes and the clinical journey for new healthcare professional hires. This role also includes managing all aspects of training logistics to ensure seamless and effective training sessions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Twin’s mission, and comfortable becoming “the face of Twin'' to those seeking to understand what it’s like to be a Twin.
Key Responsibilities
- Training Development and Delivery
- Design, develop and update training materials for all healthcare professionals, including technology training, standard operating procedures, scripting, escalation pathways, and other key aspects working closely with the subject matter experts for each area.
- Conduct virtual training sessions (and in future possibly in person) for all new clinical care team member hires.
- Utilize established instructional design methodologies to incorporate different training approaches to support different learning styles and preferences.
- Assess training needs of various clinical teams and maintain inventory of all training modules by type of role and version control.
- Create and develop training process for employees not able to meet or maintain standards of excellence.
- Report performance management/learning concerns for individual new hires to appropriate parties
- Ensure that metrics to measure ability to learn and complete the role are measurable and reportable in order to ensure we optimize our clinical team strength, performance, and outcomes
- Training Logistics Management
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions including all onboarding and clinical training calendars by roles, scheduling sessions, assessing tardiness and ability to join sessions and utilize basic technology such as zoom
- Ensure all training materials are available in advance of sessions and pull together all onboarding manuals and ensure they are delivered to candidates via mail one week in advance of their start date or online for those opt for digital copies rather than printed
- Manage keeping training materials updated in printed versions and digital versions
- Manage training calendar for clinical care team members and communicate schedules to key stakeholders and trainees
- Ensure that licensing and credentialing readiness is coordinated with training completion and readiness
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and make necessary adjustments
- Utilize training development tools (such as Google Slides, Articulate 360, etc.) and manage basic LMS administration (such as enrolling learners, assigning courses, etc.) to support the development and management of training programs.
- Provide ongoing support to trainees to ensure proper understanding, supporting those who need additional training time for both content and technology
- Communicate additional timing needs to management and leadership as needed in order to escalate issues
- Deliver and distribute post training assessments and evaluations to measure learning outcomes
- Address and resolve any questions that arise during and after training sessions
- Improve secondary to feedback and target metric improvement quarter over quarter
- Other duties as assigned
- Collaboration and Communication
- Create and maintain a positive, professional, vibrant and entertaining learning environment in order to engage group and individual trainees
- Work closely with the clinical operations team to identify training needs and develop relevant content
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure relevancy, accuracy, and updates both in research and clinical standards as well as product and technology/Standard operating procedures of training materials
- Maintain training progress and update tracker and communicate regularly to key stakeholders on progress, enhancements, and delays
- Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure all training programs comply with relevant regulations and standards
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and feedback
- Prepare and present reports on training activities and outcomes to management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, healthcare administration, healthcare training, or clinical technology
- Minimum of 3 years experience in clinical training, with experience in clinical technology
- Strong knowledge of clinical operations and technology used in healthcare organizations, with some experience in startups and multiple technology platforms
- Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Possess excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to design and deliver clinical training modules, working collaboratively with subject matter experts
- Must have a clear understanding and enthusiasm for the Twin member journey, along with a proven ability to facilitate change management across key stakeholders and Twin continues to evolve
- Passion for Twin’s purpose to transform lives by empowering people to reverse, prevent and improve chronic metabolic diseases
- Proficiency in Google and Microsoft suite and familiarity with e-Learning programs
- Certification in clinical training and/or education is a plus
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $75,000-$85,000 annually.
