Marketing Manager
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans/initiatives that support business objectives.
Compensation: $65-85k
Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
- Translate design and market trends into seasonal brand stories and communication strategy for various channels including digital, social, print and retail displays.
- Work cross functionally to create marketing calendars to ensure deadlines are met.
- Implement process improvement, and act as the project manager for both internal and external brand initiatives.
- Provide sales support for sell-in and sell-thru, continuously emphasizing revenue and profit growth for brands.
- Manage and produce all national/regional trade, retail, sales and media events
- Act as key account and sales team liaison to marketing/creative; work directly with accounts on marketing strategy and co-op planning and execution.
- Build and maintain relationships with key external partnerships, and influencers.
- Serve as cross-functional support for bringing brand stories to life in collaboration with external partners
- Maintain strong communication with PR agency, press contacts and distribute PR materials on an ongoing basis.
- Author integrated marketing strategy for seasonal campaigns, driving creation of end-to-end plans across marketing channels
- Conduct and analyze market and customer research on a monthly and quarterly basis; identify brand positioning, white space opportunities and competitive trends. Translate into presentations and action items.
- Build licensor relationships within marketing.
- Prepare presentations regularly with cross-functional input for accounts, licensors, sales, and internal company stakeholders.
- Oversee junior marketers and help encourage their growth.
- Independent projects and projects to support the marketing team on an ongoing basis.
- Assist with brand website and social media channels, helping to create and execute dynamic content to promote our brands and events
- Monitor, track and organize brand’s marketing expenditures
- Align brand with philanthropic efforts that provide maximum exposure
Requirements
- 5+ years of marketing experience, ideally in related capacity
- Strong Writing Experience
- Desire to learn and develop expertise in the marketing field
- Hardworking with a passion for getting things done
- Extremely detail oriented and organized
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Savvy and resourceful - creative thinking needed
- Solutions based - ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
- Experience in: PR Newswire, Cision, Curalate, Facebook Business Manager
- Degree in marketing, business, fashion, communications, retail preferred
- Ability to travel as needed
