ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Production Jeweler is primarily responsible for polishing, cleaning, performing QC, plating, and completing final prep work of precious metal keepsakes. This is a fast-paced, micro-manufacturing environment, as multiple orders are received and processed daily. The Production Jeweler will be expected to work quickly and efficiently with an eye for detail. All job functions will relate to the production of consumer orders.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proven experience in polishing, plating or equivalent work-related experience
- Minimum 1 year of bench jeweler experience or related jewelry, metal, or silversmithing courses
- Degree in Metals and Jewelry or Fine Arts a plus
- Experience in jewelry repairs and laser welding a plus
- Knowledge of jeweler’s tools, machinery, and equipment
- Active position which requires frequent standing, walking, and moving as it pertains to machinery
- Ability to work well with hands
- Position requires Jeweler to wear personal protective equipment such as N95/half mask/full mask Respirator, Lab Coat, Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Nitrile/Rubber Gloves, and other necessary PPE
- Proficiency using computers, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Customer service focused and professional attitude

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Polish, clean, plate, and final prep precious metals based on workflow assignment, customer specifications, and established company guidelines
- Team daily target goals and individual performance times must be met or exceeded
- Repair jewelry, resize rings, and laser weld
- Perform quality control checks on custom order keepsakes
- Order Jeweler supplies
- Ensure customer pieces are distributed to assembling area by expected ship dates
- Assist in testing the final finish of new products
- Compliance with standard operating and safety procedures to perform the functions of the job
- Perform cleaning and maintenance to keep equipment at peak operating performance
- Perform daily shutdown procedures
- Gain full knowledge of functions of the automated Fulfillment system to perform daily tasks
- Advise Production Lead/Supervisor/Manager of equipment issues, work status, workload, and progress as related to orders
- Represent department and the organization favorably and in accordance with Company standards and associate attributes at all times
- Cross-functional Production work may be assigned as needed
- Other duties as assigned by management
