The Foundations Initiatives Intern will assist execute a variety of initiatives, grant and award programs focused on addressing the BCBSLA Foundations core strategic imperatives. The work will be project-based and will involve multi-tasking, supporting ad-hoc task forces, and working closely with external partners and internal staff.
Assist with planning and tracking project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Assist with budget proposals and track ongoing financial progress.
Collaborate with other team members (internal and external) on modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning.
Collect, review, document and communicate business needs and requirements and act to ensure successful implementation
Supports strategy agenda, initiatives and projects via relevant communication, presentations for appropriate stakeholders to ensure that the foundations mission of improving the wellness and well-being of Louisianans is achieved.
Assist with vital business relationships to ensure the success of various projects.
Monitors progress of strategic initiatives to ensure initiatives are successfully completed.
Assists in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and partnerships.
Assists with appropriate community outreach programs.
Coordinates resources necessary and communicates with appropriate stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Degree program(s) / Current Status: Must be a Junior or Senior pursing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration is preferred.
Cumulative GPA: 3.0 preferred; 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA.
Relevant Experience: Work experience or previous exposure in degree fields is preferred.
Other Qualifications:
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
Strong ability to build relationships internally and externally is necessary.
Must have strong organizational and analytical ability, oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
Must have good energy and willingness to learn. Self-motivated, adaptable to a changing work environment and team-oriented.
Current students must be able to work 15 20 hours per week during their Spring and Fall semesters and 30 -40 hours per week during the Summer. Recent graduates must be able to work 30 40 hours per week year round.
Must be able to commute to/provide your own housing in Baton Rouge, LA or surrounding areas. •
