About the Company
Earthtrack Group, one of Australia’s leading suppliers of specialist LED lighting and solar solutions, is seeking a dedicated Workshop Production Assistant to join our team at the Forrestdale facility in Western Australia. This full-time, on-site role is crucial to maintaining our high standards in the production of reliable, versatile, and low-maintenance lighting solutions for a variety of applications, including mine sites, industrial, government, and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Mould Preparation: Dismantle, wash, and prepare moulds for concrete pours, ensuring accurate placement of lifting lugs, ferrules, and steel according to supplied drawings.
- Concrete Work: Perform concrete pours, ensuring adequate vibration, followed by trowelling and edging to achieve a smooth, level finish. Sand edges after blocks are released from moulds.
- Painting & Stencilling: Paint base moulds once dry, including the stencilling of logos.
- Assembly: Assemble frames according to instructions, integrating solar panels, battery boxes, and frame supports. Complete electrical assembly, including wiring harnesses, panels, batteries, isolators, fuses, switches, and lights.
- Quality Control: Perform quality control checks throughout production to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and DIFOT (Delivered In Full On Time) requirements.
- Equipment Operation: Load and unload trucks, utes, and vans, manage stock movement within the facility and yard, and complete daily pre-start checklists on all forklifts.
- Order Fulfillment: Ensure the correct frame is fitted to the correct size base according to the order, and complete the fixing of the frame to the block using appropriate fasteners.
- Testing: Conduct testing of all components as per the quality checklist to ensure functionality and safety.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment is highly desirable.
- A forklift license is essential for handling materials and equipment safely.
- Ability to work within Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines and policies.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
- An MR license is preferred but not essential for driving and logistics duties.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality production standards.
- Must be physically fit to handle the demands of the role
