ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Completing tasks soldering components manually in printed circuit board assembly environment Completing appropriate paperwork associated with assembly orders Adhering to all company operating procedures and quality requirements Performing surface-mount and through hole soldering on printed circuit boards Trimming, clipping, tinning of wires and leads Adhering plastic components and potting/sealing completed work Properly label finished products QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS IPC-A-610 and JSTD-001 Graduation from an accredited High School (or valid General Educational Development certificate) is required 1-2 years of professional experience working with electronics down to the component level Complete work in a clean and organized environment as well as in accordance with ESD regulations and procedures Familiarity with using any of the following: soldering irons, hot air equipment use, microscopes, electronic multi-meter, and screw gun Soldering skills of fine pitch SMT and through-hole components Populate printed circuit boards with thru-hole or secondary operation components Follow internal assembly process documentation ensuring product meets company and customer quality requirements Ability to assemble parts into metal enclosures 2 Ability to solve routine problems encountered during assembly Ability to interpret electronic and mechanical work instructions and drawings/schematics Ability to solder under a microscope Component identification of unassembled parts and pieces Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work with minimum supervision Detail orientated with neat workmanship Able to pass a skills test PREFERRED SKILLS Previous experience in a manufacturing environment doing product assembly. Must be confident with touch up and hand soldering. ADDITIONAL NOTES We are looking for detail-oriented technicians who will be responsible for completing assembly. Successful candidates need to be able to assemble electronic components in accordance with documents and drawings. Must be dependable, have regular attendance, and punctual
