Job title: Policy and Campaigns Manager (Wales and Northern Ireland)
Contract type: Full time, permanent
Salary: Grade 5, £42,000 - £46,000 per annum. Please note, for internal applicants the salary will be reflected by pay and award policy
Working arrangements: Standard working hours between 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working, with a minimum of 6 days per month in the office
Purpose and Scope
The communications, policy and research directorate provides a voice for the RCP to achieve its mission of the best health and care for all. It delivers proactive communications, engagement and influencing through policy development, campaigning, stakeholder relations, media, digital, events, publishing, design and brand management.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop healthcare policy and deliver campaigns in Wales and Northern Ireland across a range of high-profile areas including the NHS workforce, health inequalities, integrated care, sustainability and climate change and clinical research.
Our policy and campaigns manager (Wales and Northern Ireland) will develop the RCP’s thinking and influence in the devolved nations, helping us to understand the key issues and identifying opportunities to involve members in policy development.
They will lead our influencing and campaigns work in Wales and Northern Ireland, proactively identifying opportunities for the RCP to shape the debate. The right candidate will work with senior officers to advocate for improvements to health and healthcare on behalf of fellows and members by leading our stakeholder engagement in Wales and Northern Ireland.
