We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Project Quality Manager. This role involves managing and coordinating project quality activities, implementing project quality systems, ensuring successful completion within the established timeline, and developing staff.

Principal Accountabilities:
- The responsibilities include familiarizing oneself with the project's QA/QC requirements and developing or reviewing project-specific plans and procedures based on the size and complexity of the project. These plans and procedures need to be submitted for review and approval by the Section Head.
- The role involves liaising with clients to obtain clearance for the project-specific QA/QC procedures and plans while addressing any relevant technical issues and considering cost implications. Attending client meetings and maintaining contact with clients throughout the project is essential.
- Additionally, the individual will prepare and provide recommendations for updating system procedures to ensure effective QA/QC activities, as requested.
- The role requires assigning, supervising, and monitoring project inspection activities. Ensure daily work is completed within project timelines and meets the established standards. The focus will also be on reviewing and following up on any non-conformances identified during inspections.
- Leading the team in conducting quality audits, both internally and externally, will be necessary to verify compliance with the set standards and procedures. Decisions regarding product non-conformance must be made, ensuring that appropriate remedial actions are taken.
- The individual will review periodic QC inspection reports and take any necessary follow-up actions. They will also review project completion documentation from the QC perspective to confirm that all construction has been completed in accordance with contract requirements.
- Critical reviews of vendor and subcontractor QA/QC documentation will be performed at various stages—pre-qualification, shortlisting, and post-contract award—to ensure compliance with NPCC standards and project contractual obligations.
- The role includes providing input for the annual staff appraisal process and contributing details of the NPCC Quality Management System for inclusion in project pre-qualification bids by NPCC.
- Conducting quality induction for new staff and project teams is necessary to ensure that they fully understand QA/QC requirements, all while ensuring compliance with HSE standards.
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- B.Sc. in engineering from an internationally recognized institution, preferably in the mechanical or metallurgy fields.
- 12 years of QA-QC experience with multi-discipline certification.
- Proven supervisory experience.
- Organisational awareness.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Must be a team player and have good communication skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, with well-developed report-writing ability.
- Very thorough knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
