Civil/Structural Designer / Drafter

RCM Technologies, a Multidiscipline Engineering Firm located in Oakland NJ, is seeking a Civil/Structural or Mechanical Designer/Drafter with extensive AutoCad and/or Microstation experience for a full-time position. REVIT experience is also valued.
The candidate will be responsible for general drafting tasks and work in Multi-Discipline Engineering Departments. This position performs routine work that conforms to all project/task requirements that require basic understanding and application of engineering theories, standards, concepts, techniques. This position is responsible for providing Drafting services within a firm schedule. In addition, the candidate will assist engineers in performing site visits, inspections, obtaining field measurements and preparing field sketches as required.

Requirements

• Two year technical degree OR the equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
• Minimum 2 years of progressive, relevant Drafter experience as described below or the equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training demonstrating the following skills
• Knowledge of general drafting standards, practices, and procedures
• Experience demonstrating skills working with company and internal/external customers, contractors, vendors, and/or consultants
• Experience demonstrating skill using computer design applications including AutoCAD and Microstation
• Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, PDF conversion, and e-mail software to perform work functions
• Ability and willingness to travel to various company locations as required
• Ability and willingness to differentiate color coded drawings and plans
• Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments which may include outdoors in all weather conditions and in noisy and dirty environments
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must successfully pass a medical screening to include a drug test.
• US citizenship or authorization to legally work in the US

Preferred

• 3-D Modeling using Revit
• Experience with Utility, Generation, and/or Industrial facilities drafting/design
