Basic Responsibilities:
1. Providing cutter application support for new process development
2. Working with cutter Suppliers
3. Insertion of new cutter technologies,
4. Providing cutter parameter recommendations (feeds, speeds, ...) to NC programmers and manufacturing engineers
5. Providing timely cutter liaison support
6. Maintaining a cutter database
7. Designing cutters
Your primary focus will be daily interaction with Manufacturing Engineers and Operations personnel to support new process development and maintain current machining processes in customers Precision Components Center.
Desired Skills - Experience with machining precision components from forgings or castings (titanium, steel, magnesium, aluminum)
- CatiaV5 (or similar) 3D modeling experience
Basic Qualifications:
- Prefer a minimum of (2) years of experience in manufacturing engineering with experience in machining operations.
- Experienced with selecting cutters and establishing machining parameters for metal cutting processes.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a team environment.
- Customer focused
