Safety Engineer

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­Safety Engineer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Columbus, IN. Details for the position are as follows:

Pay Range: $40-42/hr
Contract: 6 months (possibility for extension or conversion)
Hybrid schedule (3 days on site / 2 days remote)

Job Description:

• Responsible for developing system safety requirements and work products for machines and parts.
• Assists with the application and use of engineering controls to control hazards and reduce risks inthe facility or site.
• Helps to anticipate, identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices.
• Develops basic hazard control designs, methods, procedures and programs.
• Administers and communicates hazard control programs.Interprets and applies internal and external standards in support of hazard reduction and compliance.

• 2-4 year degree or equivalent experience
• Safety risk assessments / machine safety
