Qualifications:
Day to day: Customer service skills are very important because you're working with internal international transfers and it can be an emotional process. This role needs someone who is detail oriented and internal customer focused. Flexible if someone has HR background doesn't necessarily need to have global assignments experience. This team is a very process heavy team. In terms of the global assignments systems would primarily work within SAP and INTAMS. Candidates do not need experience within these systems.
Nice to have: Additional language skills (German or Spanish) would be a plus, if someone understands immigration that would be a huge plus.
Travel: Highly unlikely, there could be vendor conferences but not a requirement as these would be for training.
Work from home: Onsite work primarily, however, there is some flexibility (this is on a case by case basis and is subject to change).
I.Position Purpose/Scope: What are the key objectives of the position? Steers the coordination of International inbound and outbound assignments within the Global Assignments department.
II. Position Responsibilities/Accountabilities: List the major duties/accountabilities to achieve the positions key objectives. Facilitates long term and short term international assignments (both outbound and inbound) to include immigration topics. Leads processes to ensure expat assignments are processed according to local guidelines and global terms and conditions. Communicates with relevant process partners to gather information needed to process international assignments. Coordinates international transfers and assists all expatriates. Facilitates the relocation of expatriates and their families. Maintains appropriate documentation and ensures the maintenance of accurate information tracked within reporting and all systems (SAP, INTAMS). Maintains and documents up to date process steps and tracks all steps required to complete the authorizations for an international assignment. Informs associates of relevant international assignment information and escalates issues as needed. Maintains associate files and associate document tracking. Coordinates immigration documentation. Schedules, coordinates, and supports with meetings and new hire orientations for international assignees and localized candidates. Works on projects as assigned within the Global Assignments team. Collaborates with external vendors on processes, ensuring assignees are provided a positive experience. Drafts contracts for outbound international assignees. Maintains continuos improvement mindset for process improvement strategies. Develops or updates process manuals as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by clientOperations Supervisor.
III. Position Competencies: Education: BA/BS degree preferably in business administration, organizational development, or human resources related field or the equivalent from a German or International University; OR AA/AS Degree in business or related field AND 2 years of professional experience in a global mobility function; OR The equivalent of 4 years of professional experience in a global mobility function. B) Experience: 2+ years of Human Resources experience, preferably to include Global Human Resources or Recruitment experience. Previous immigration case work experience (preferred)
