Our client is looking for an OTIC Consultant / OpenText Consultant to join their team. This role is remote and they will consider candidates located in Canada or the US.
**Prefers experience with migration projects using Magellan Integration Center products (aka OTIC, Genio and currently is MIC).
**Majority of the projects are run against OT Content Server or xECM, so people with the skills around these products can be accommodated.
**Must be knowledgeable in Integration Center
**Must have good experience with OT Content Server or xECM
**Must have OT tools certifications
With OTIC you can extract, transform and load high volumes of structured (RDBMS) and unstructured (documents) content. With OTIC, you can access disparate sources of content extract relational and unstructured records, transform associated metadata, manage the flow of content through the content lifecycle, upload high volumes of content into target repositories such as databases and enterprise content management systems.
The Role:
The Senior Technical Consultant manages client as well as internal expectations, and is responsible for the delivery of project engagements. He/she must also be able to work within a team to provide technical insight, creative solutions and options to Professional Services project management, and other technical members of the team. The Technical Consultant networks within the client's organisation to identify client business objectives, issues, and opportunities both within and external to the engagement itself.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Become familiar with OT ECM/Analytics(specifically Magellan Integration Center a.k.a. OTIC)
Develop customized solutions
Develop and implement customer specific requirements
Develop custom applications incorporating OpenText products
Test and confirm customer requirements and implementations
Lead customer on-site implementations and provide knowledge transfer
Provide customer service and post implementation support
Create architectural documents and engagement hand off documents
Provide training and mentoring
Provide pre-sales and technical support to sales
Interface with customers to define technical requirements
Conduct analysis and requirements gathering
Participate in client meetings
Present technical solutions
Assist in the writing of work proposals
Recognize and report additional opportunities during customer engagements

Experience / Education:
Must have:
o 5 + years of hands-on data warehousing or ECM migration work experience (after College or Graduate program).
o Technical background with high-availability architectures and enterprise solutions.
o Good object oriented design and programming background.
o Knowledge in general data warehousing concepts and ETL tools.
o Knowledge in Enterprise Content Management (ECM) concepts.
Programming languages:
HTML, XML, SQL
Thorough understanding of Web technologies and application servers (Websphere, JBoss, BEA Weblogic, etc)
Databases:
Knowledge and development of databases concepts, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Nice to have/optional:
Knowledge of LiveLink/Content Server, Mobius, IBM FileNet P8, IBM FileNet IS, IBM OnDemand, Documentum, eDocs, MS SharePoint, People Soft, JD Edwards, SAP, BPCS etc.
Knowledge on programming languages JAVA, JSP, JavaScript, VBScript, C#, C++, VB, PL SQL, Python, Unix shell scripting.
Knowledge and experience with various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris, UNIX and/or Mainframe and JCL
Knowledge of print streams and file formats such as AFP, Metacode, PCL, PS and/or PDF
Knowledge of structured data such as EDI, AL3, HL7, X12, XML, FIX/SWIFT and others
Knowledge and experience with application performance tuning (best practices)
Special Requirements:
Ability to travel and work within North America and Globally

Ability to manage, mentor and lead other team members
