Job Summary: RCM's client is Looking to add a highly skilled and talented individual to their IT Shared Services Team. The IT QA/BA Manager will lead a team of IT Quality Assurance and Business analysts. The individual will be expected to define and improve existing QA and BA processes, monitor QA/BA team key performance indicators, propose new recommendations on tools and practices and successfully implement them.
In this highly visible role, the IT QA/BA Manager will have executional responsibilities to provide QA/BA assistance as needed with automated as well as manual software testing, requirements gathering and will be part of cross-functional team where developers, business analysts and quality assurance analysts work together to gather requirements, build test cases, and automate QA activities.
The IT QA/BA Manager must be able to quickly establish rapport with all project stakeholders including executive leadership and frequently interact with the Product Owner and business users by asking questions and challenging assumptions to help clarify the business requirements. The IT QA/BA Manager will train, mentor, and conduct performance reviews of the current QA/BA team as well as serve as a subject matter expert for the team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - Lead a team of Quality and Business Analysts which translate business requirements into systems specification and certify the software as ready for release.
- Provide strong leadership to achieve outstanding quality deliverables.
- Collaborate within IT and business managers to define sound QA strategies.
- Proactively define, improve, and train on existing QA and BA processes, practices, and procedures.
- Work with other development managers to ensure full lifecycle integration of QA and BA processes.
- Ensure standard processes and practices are being followed throughout the lifecycle of a project.
- Develop metrics around performance of the BA and QA functions.
- Develop a roadmap of process improvements that will result in desired productivity improvements.
- Manage the capacity and demand of the QA and BA resources across a portfolio of projects.
- Establish and monitor QA performance indicators. Track and report on established QA metrics and KPIs for assigned projects.
- Partner with business analysts and project managers to ensure requirements are documented, understood, covered by tests and accurately tested.
- Support automated and manual testing efforts for multiple projects and software releases.
- Design and implement automation test strategy.
- Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test checklists, and test scripts.
- Document and evaluate test results and defects, track and manage defects until resolved, re-test corrections.
- Provide input on go / no-go decisions for production releases.
- Detect, collect, document, and troubleshoot issues found during testing or reported from the field.
- Participate in sprint planning, sprint meetings, stand up meetings, demos, and retrospective sessions.
Job Specifications: Qualifications: - Minimum 10+ years of total experience with both QA experience and BA experience in an IT environment
- Experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
- Waterfall, Agile methodology experience and expertise
- Experience with creation of Test Plans and QA Completion Reports
- Solid understanding of QA processes, practices, and systems
- Expertise in Requirement/Initiative Documents/User Story/Acceptance Criteria analysis
- Experience executing and coordinating QA, and user-acceptance testing
- Demonstrated ability to work on concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints
- Demonstrated ability to work in team-based environments
- Experience managing people whether as direct reports or through offshore teams or projects.
- Experience automating software testing with tools like: Selenium, Webdriver.io
- Knowledge of C#, PL/SQL or other programming language
- Knowledge of and experience with tools utilized in business process modeling, and requirements elicitation and management.
- Experience using Microsoft tech stack environment preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication, documentation and writing skills.
- Experience with working in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain is a big plus.
- Business Analysis certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA) a plus
- Quality Analyst certifications (CSQA, CAST, CSTE, CMST) a plus
Education / Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
