The Role
As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Strategic Alliances Manager to help nurture and expand ControlUp’s partnerships with key cloud providers—such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform—as well as other strategic technology partners. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving our go-to-market efforts by engaging partners and broadening our ecosystem. You’ll work closely with our senior leadership, product, marketing, and sales teams to develop and execute joint initiatives that deliver measurable value and support our business objectives.
 
Responsibilities
Partnership Development:
- Identify, build, and grow strategic partnerships that align with ControlUp’s objectives.
- Engage with key cloud providers and technology partners to foster collaborative relationships and drive joint business initiatives.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Execution:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement integrated GTM strategies that boost brand awareness, pipeline growth, and revenue.
- Develop co-branded marketing collateral, sales tools, and case studies to support joint initiatives.
Business Planning & Revenue Growth:
- Contribute to the creation and execution of business plans that expand our partner ecosystem and drive new revenue opportunities.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of partner engagements.
Partner Enablement:
- Work with internal teams to develop and deliver partner training, onboarding programs, and enablement initiatives that ensure partner success.
- Act as a primary liaison between ControlUp and its partners, ensuring alignment and timely execution of joint strategies.
Industry Engagement:
- Represent ControlUp at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings to strengthen relationships and expand market reach.
- Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparent and effective collaboration.

About You
We’re looking for a results-driven professional with a proven track record in building and managing strategic partnerships. Your expertise in partnering with cloud providers and technology firms, combined with strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills, will be key to your success in this role.

Qualifications:
- Required: 3+ years in alliances, partnerships, or business development roles within the technology or cloud computing industry. Preferred: 5+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated success in managing partnerships with major cloud providers and strategic technology partners.
- Experience with Cloud Marketplaces, OEM distribution, and resell agreements is a plus.

Skills:
- Exceptional negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proven ability to develop business cases and drive joint GTM strategies.
- Some travel required for partner meetings and industry events as needed (up to 25%)
