Job Description:
- Re-shaping sheet metal with hammer and dolly.
- Application and sanding of putty / Body filler
- Remove and refit body parts.
- Repair damaged panels with weld pull equipment.
- Reshaping through metal shrinking.
- Working with different types of welding i.e. spot, Mig, Electric. Mig Braze
- Panel Bonding and riveting
- Plasma cutting
- Windshield replacement - rubber weather strip type and adhesive type.
- Reshape complex panel surface profile.
- Repair by panel cutting and joining.
- Body Panel replacement cutting and joining.
- Repair by use of Body Aligner Equipment.
- Repair by advanced use of Body Aligner measurement equipment.
- Alignment of frame type as well as monologue type body.
- Replacement of side members
- Final inspection and quality control
- Ensure care and maintenance of equipment.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Familiarity with automotive repair and restoration.
- Understanding of different types of vehicles and their body structures.
- Good problem-solving skills to assess damage and determine repair methods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training in automotive body repair is also preferred.
