TITLE: Data Architect

Job Description

The Data Architect will be an instrumental part of our growing Data & Analytics team. The role will be responsible for all aspects of the data analytics platform, including design / blueprint / development / implementation / support of data warehouse system, data marts, and applications using the data warehouse. Data Architect must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple groups and systems.

Responsibilities

·         Responsible for both the architecture and design of enterprise data warehouse (EDW) processes while providing technical leadership for implementation, with design, development, maintenance, security and storage standards.

·         Design, document and develop logical and physical data flow models for ETL processes which curate data from a variety of systems and convert to actionable information which drives business decisions.

·         Accountable for all aspects of the data warehouse processes including data modeling, ETL, data validation, data quality assurance, and implementation.

·         Design and build data models, reporting solutions, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions.

·         Translate complex business requirements into clear / actionable architectural solution.

·         Assess/Recommend infrastructure required for optimal performance

·         Create and maintain relevant data dictionaries and documentation

·         Perform code review and testing/validation as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

·         10+ years of experience working with enterprise data platforms required

·         Extensive knowledge designing, developing, and optimizing data structure for analytics

·         Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.

·         Experience developing/optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.

·         Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.

·         Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

·         High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision while being resilient to change

·         Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.

·         Experience working with the following: AWS cloud services/ Matillion / Snowflake / Power BI.
