The role:
The Senior ESG & Sustainability Executive is a vital player in driving forward the development of Wolf & Badger as the platform for conscious consumers to discover independent ethical brands. The role will oversee and action the organisation’s sustainability initiatives, roadmap and award-winning brands vetting process. This role requires a deep understanding of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues, along with the ability and desire to integrate sustainability into core business operations ensuring Wolf & Badger is the leading ethical platform for fashion and lifestyle brands. The Senior ESG & Sustainability Executive will work closely with brand operations and senior management to ensure the company meets its ESG goals and regulatory requirements. The role will also work closely with the marketing team and brands team to communicate effectively to customers and brands ensuring that the tone of sustainability communications is always accessible, engaging and accurate.

Execution
- Lead the daily processes for our award-winning Wolf & Badger ESG guarantees vetting process for independent brands, constantly seeking to improve the process and ensuring vetting criteria are industry leading and up to date with policy developments across all markets.
- Collaborate with teams across the business to put together our annual ESG impact report.
- Develop and enforce ESG & sustainability policies and guidelines within the organisation.
- Monitor and report on sustainability & vetting performance with a data-first approach, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Under the direction of the VP Sustainability, lead on mapping Wolf & Badger carbon emissions and incorporating suggested business model improvements into operations across the business in order to reach carbon reduction targets.
- Be a key champion and instigator of embedding B Corp values across the business. Work to improve the B Impact Assessment score across the business; maintain and execute our Theory of Change (i.e. how we are leading the change in responsible retail).
- Under direction from the VP Sustainability, lead on the preparation, execution and planning of monthly and annual ESG reports for the board and external stakeholders.
- Support the wider brands team with quality assurance and other ad hoc elements of brand partnerships and operations.
Innovation
- Develop a system for ensuring products and brands are of the highest quality, ensuring Wolf & Badger is championing and showcasing sustainable materials achieving a core objective of positively influencing brands and customers and the fashion industry as a whole.
- Constantly seek to align Wolf & Badger with affiliations and certifications such as TechZero and more.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to communicate ESG achievements and progress across various channels in an appropriate way for Wolf & Badger customers.
- Identify and implement best practices and innovations in sustainability.
- Attend external webinars and events and stay updated on sustainability trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.
- Drive continuous improvement in sustainability performance through data analysis and feedback.
Fairness
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Educate our internal & external stakeholders on best practices, including green claims compliance.
- Maintain our relationship with and report on all necessary insights and obligations for UN Global Compact.
- Ensure our CSR policy is enforced and up to date.
- Lead on responses to any ESG violation reports.
- Promote a culture of sustainability within the organisation across all touchpoints through training and awareness programs.

Requirements
- Significant experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related field.
- Relevant degree or similar recognised qualification highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of ESG principles and practices.
