About this Role
SmithRx is seeking an Events Marketing Manager to join our marketing team preferably based in our Lehi, Utah office but can also be remote. You will be responsible for supporting the planning and execution of sales road shows, bespoke practitioner events, and larger conferences. Your role will be crucial in shaping SmithRx's event experiences and contributing to business growth. This role will be expected to travel less than 20% of the time.
What you will do:
Event Planning
- Support the planning of several events, including but not limited to conferences, summits, and retreats.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align events with marketing and sales strategies.
- Bring innovative ideas and best practices to SmithRx's event strategy.
- Determine the resourcing needed to execute the strategy.
Event Execution
- Assist in planning, gathering quotes and ideas, budgeting, venue selection, vendor management, logistics, and production.
- Swag and gifting management, sourcing, inventory, tracking, shipping and allocation
- Make travel arrangements, bookings, deliver materials, order merchandise, print materials, etc.
- Manage event timelines, resources, and deliverables while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Ensure events deliver a cohesive brand message and align with SmithRx's corporate identity.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teammates to develop event-specific marketing collateral, communications, and promotional materials.
Budgeting And Financial Management
- Track expenses, manage vendor contracts, and negotiate favorable pricing and terms.
Reporting
- Gather data and insights to measure the effectiveness of events, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution, exceptional event experiences, strong pipeline management, and data literacy.
- Support sales team with regional events including office lunches, dinners, and regional sponsorships.
- Lead weekly All-Hands company meetings
What You Will Bring to SmithRx:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in event management, including supporting the execution of large-scale conferences, trade shows, and corporate events.
- Proven track record of supporting high-quality events on time and within budget.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work under pressure.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Creative mindset with a strong focus on customer experience, engagement, pipeline management, and data literacy.
- Knowledge of event technologies, registration systems, and event analytics.
