Position: Procurement Specialist
Location: 100 Stein Plaza, Suite 2-267, Los Angeles, CA 90095
Duration: 26 weeks

Job Description:
Must-Have:
A contractor is needed to help clean up H&I's communication reports and purchasing.

Preferred Experience:

Completed training in EDB (Employee Database) online personnel and payroll system
Completed training in PTR (Payroll Time Reporting System)
Excellent Skill in writing letters and memos using Microsoft Word
Ability to work independently, to follow through on projects with minimal direction
Skill in prioritizing assignments with frequent deadlines and occasional heavy workloads
Working knowledge of University academic personnel policies and procedures and labor contracts
Working knowledge of University payroll policies and procedures
Working knowledge of University benefits policies and procedures
Interpersonal skills to handle confidential matters and the ability to act appropriately and with discretion
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with staff and faculty
Excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate with a variety of ethnic, social, cultural and educational backgrounds.
Ability to make oral presentations to all levels of academic personnel and academic meetings when necessary
Ability to handle conflict situations and the knowledge to direct the individual to the appropriate resources
Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and faculty
Ability and willingness to take initiative in the improvement of Department personnel management
