CONTROLLER (hybrid - 3 days onsite)Boca Raton, Florida
ARC Group is currently in search of a Controller to join our client's team at their Boca Raton, FL office. Reporting directly to the CFO, the ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in preparing financial statements, driving financial initiatives, and managing various aspects of accounting, including FP & A, GL, AR, AP, and invoicing. This is a direct hire position, and applicants must have current PERMANENT US work authorization.
As the Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing corporate-wide accounting, controls, and external financial reporting activities, aligning with the company's objectives. Your responsibilities will include establishing accounting policies, ensuring consistent application in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and guaranteeing the accuracy of the company's financial results.

Controller Responsibilities: - Establish and maintain all financial controls including controls related to financial reporting and cash management
- Prepare and present financial reports and provide other comprehensive financial updates to the leadership team by identifying, evaluating, and reporting on key financial metrics
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs
- Work closely with the CFO and other members of the finance and operations teams to manage the annual budgeting process and the updated forecast
- Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on biweekly, monthly, and annual basis
- Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic landscape
- Assist in developing and supporting short and long-term corporate finance strategies
- Manage and evaluate all financial reporting and accounting systems
- Cash management, including maintaining overall internal safeguards for cash receipts and payments
- Work closely with other members of the finance team and third-party advisor to manage tax planning and compliance
Controller Required Experience: - The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Detailed understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- At least 4 years of experience as a corporate Controller with approximately 7-12 total years of experience
- Previous experience in finance within the legal field would be a plus
- Strong leadership experience
- Solid experience with FP & A
- Experience managing a financial statement audit
- Experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills
- Team player with a collaborative spirit, cooperative attitude, and ability to work in collaboration with multiple departments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on meeting deadlines and addressing urgent situations
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, PowerPoint a plus
- Proven to be thorough and exercise attention to detail
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism with confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
- Maintain a confidential, HIPAA-compliant environment
