The Awareness & Acquisition team works to make sure Spotify is top of mind when users are looking for audio and to encourage our most dedicated users to tell their friends about Spotify. While we are best known for owning and building the Wrapped consumer-facing experience each year, we also work extensively in the SEO domain and experiment with various new features that drive organic growth.
Spotify is looking for a Backend Engineer to join the Awareness & Acquisition team. Our mission is to build in-app experiences that give strategic audiences more reasons to talk about Spotify with their friends, family, and other fans. We strive to fulfill this mission by building 0-to-1 features according to 3 strategic pillars: audio identity, time-sensitive moments, and fandom.
We've been collaborating with other teams for the past year to launch and expand Daylist, which is now available in many countries around the globe and streamed by millions of users daily. This year, we rolled out a new Voting feature that lets users participate in televised award shows by voting for their favorite artists directly in the Spotify app.
