Job Description

As a Controller Consultant, you should be well-versed in all aspects of accounting and be able to provide meaningful, actionable information to management so that they can properly run the business. You’ll be expected to manage multiple complex projects under minimal supervision. The interest and ability to multitask, as you’ll work with different clients simultaneously, is a must.

Top candidates are CPAs who have a background in public accounting with either Big 4 or regional auditing firms. We are looking for 10+ years’ experience, preferably including 5-7 years in industry. Consulting, publicly traded company experience, and senior management experiences are big pluses.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting function.
• Work cross functionally to support the client; ensuring accounting function is aligned with strategic business objectives, pro-actively proving data for sound business decision making.
• Prepare monthly financial reports including management reports, board reports and investor reports.
• Oversee and manage the audit process.
• Establish, implement, and monitor accounting policies.
• Prepare SEC reports and disclosures.
• Manage forecast and financial operating budgets.
• Utilize best practice standard tools, templates, and methodologies.
• Communicates with the client and RoseRyan management on the status of engagement and key business developments.

Requirements

Required skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field.
• 10+ years progressive experience in management roles
• 5+ years as a Controller consultant.
• Proficiency in accounting software - For example, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle.
• MS Excel proficiency including VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, and Macros
• Proven experience as a Controller in mid to large size companies
• SEC Reporting
