We are seeking an experienced SaaS Software Engineering Manager with a full-stack development background to join our team. As the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the engineering department and ensuring the successful delivery of engineering/IT projects while remaining an active contributor, writing code and solving technical problems. To do this will require strong technical leadership and communication skills, with expertise in AWS, Laravel, TypeScript, and React. Working in an agile environment you will collaborate closely with our product managers and designers ensuring the delivery of high-quality, creative, secure and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and efficient team environment.
- Actively contribute to coding and development efforts, maintaining hands-on involvement in software design, architecture, and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align engineering strategies with business goals. Participate in setting technical direction and making strategic decisions.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Participate in research and development initiatives to drive technological advancements and solve complex technical challenges.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure engineering efforts support broader company objectives. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive best practices for software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical feedback to the team to guide their development and ensure quality remains high
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for your team, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Expertise in AWS, Laravel, TypeScript, and React
- Proficiency in modern software development practices and workload prioritization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop an engineering team to success.
- Strong technical skills with a track record of hands-on development and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities.
