Our Grapevine MSP Technology Visalia office is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our team.The successful candidate will be responsible for processing various financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the accounting department; this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in accounting in a supportive and dynamic work environment.
Process Financial Transactions:
- Accurately process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and check requests.
- Review and verify the accuracy of financial data and documentation.
Maintain Financial Records:
- Ensure all financial records are maintained in an organized and up-to-date manner.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries.
- Update and maintain accounting databases and spreadsheets.
Reconciliation and Reporting:
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Assist with General Accounting Tasks:
- Support managing the general ledger, including posting entries and adjusting accounts as needed.
- Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
- Collaborate with the accounting team on various projects and initiatives.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent and an associate’s degree in accounting or a related field are preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Hands-on experience with office machines (e.g., fax machines and printers)
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A creative mind with the ability to suggest improvements
