About the Role:
In your role as a Technical Sales & Promotions Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Technical Marketing: Drive marketing, promotion, and sales for our Bridge and Structures product lines. This will include providing regulatory focus, technical knowledge, and consultative solution development to owners, public agencies, engineers, and contractors in the civil infrastructure construction industry.
- Territory Development: Cultivate and foster professional relationships and business opportunities with current and potential customers, including specifying engineers and agencies within your assigned territory.
- Marketing Expertise: Implement a defined and proven marketing and sales operating system in a disciplined manner, with a focus on continuous improvement in consultative marketing and selling.
- Technical Knowledge: Showcase your technical expertise in civil engineering and infrastructure applications related to our Bridge and Structures product lines.
- Pricing Strategy: Develop budgetary pricing for initial project design and final project pricing strategies during the Transactional Sales Process.
- Field Marketing: Lead territory field marketing efforts directed at public agencies, DOTs, and regulatory agencies for the Bridge and Structures product portfolio.
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil, Mechanical, or a related engineering field, P.E. Preferred.
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Ability to understand the engineer of record, site owner, and contractor's needs and guide them toward the appropriate product solution for each project.
- Effective communication of technical information, concepts, and applications using consultative marketing skills.
- Proficiency in interpreting civil site plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel between 30-40% within your assigned region.
