Lead Impact Coach/ MAP Coordinator - Antioch
The Lead Impact Coach/ MAP Coordinator is responsible for internal and external partnerships and service coordination for the Mayor’s Apprenticeship Program (MAP). In addition to program leadership, this position carries a caseload of 20-24 young adults (Transitional Age Youth, TAY, ages 18-24). This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Antioch Site Manager. On-call evening and weekend work may be required, often on short notice.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Team leader:
- Work as a team with Impact Coaches, financial coaches, Wellness coaches and Pathways team to ensure the continuum of services are available and accessible to MAP participants.
- Serve as primary supportive relationship and point of contact to support participant engagement, retention and progress through pre-placement, placement and post placement transition.
- Ensure the completion and maintenance of the Empowerment Plan, adherence to policies and procedures regarding participant interactions, ECM and other data and document collection demands.
Case management:
- Comprehensive Intake
- Complete Collaborative Goal Plan
- Deliver Individualized Coaching (Weekly touchpoints) guided by participant’s goal plan
- Manage Co-enrollment when parent coaching is indicated
- Manage and responds to participant support needs
- Caseload Management to ensure touchpoints that support retention and transition after placement.
- Meet all data entry requirements to ensure that participant engagement, strengths and challenges are reflected and updated, weekly.
Service coordination and leadership:
- Coordinate the scheduling and delivery of Foundations Workshop Series
- Offer TAY appropriate adaptations to the workshops
- Coordinate and/or deliver Weekly Job Club
- Coordinate with Business Services Teams to provide access to hiring events
- Coordinate access to training programs, including hard Skills (OSHA , Forklift)
- Coordinate with CEO and/or CPO to manage relationships with key City Partners
- Contribute to Program reporting as required
Program Integration, Site Collaboration and partnership:
- Support site needs as they arise and as schedule permits (e.g willingness to cover unanticipated gaps when other staff are out).
- Ensure MAP is integrated in site offerings ( e.g. holiday celebrations and give-a-ways).
- Provide program updates at site/ team meetings.
COMPETENCIES
- Solid proficiency with motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care principles required; working knowledge of effective coaching techniques desired.
- Experience and expertise in the multiple, complex obstacles to prosperity for people in poverty; solid understanding of social, institutional and systemic causes of poverty; strong knowledge of local service provider networks desired.
- Behavioral health proficiencies: Adept at identifying, communicating and documenting symptoms and functional limitations, including their severity, of conditions common to people who have experienced the trauma and stress of living in poverty (for example depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction and others).
- Relationship building; interpersonal flexibility; valuing diversity; visioning; attention to detail; thoroughness; open mindedness, growth mindset.
- Skillful teamwork and leadership; solid organizational abilities; excellent oral and written communication and facilitation skills.
- This position requires the incumbent to travel efficiently throughout the East Bay. If s/he opts to meet these travel requirements by driving, proof of a valid and current driver license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report are required.
Compensation
- $29- $33/hour, DOE
- Medical, Dental and Vision health plans. Kaiser and Sutter Health options.
- 3 weeks paid vacation and sick leave, 13 paid holidays.
- 4 days paid restorative holiday between Christmas and New Year's.
