The Draftsperson & Estimator at Adex Group is a remote role based in the Philippines, playing a crucial part in the pre-sales and sales support processes. The primary focus is creating detailed renders and drawings for mezzanine flooring proposals, preparing estimations and assisting the sales team in preparing proposals and quotations, and engaging in supportive sales facilitation and follow-up activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drafting and Design:
- Create accurate and detailed renders and drawings for mezzanine flooring proposals.
- Utilize Tekla CAD software and other design tools to develop layouts, elevations, and 3D visualizations.
- Collaborate virtually with the engineering and production teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications and client requirements.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from clients and internal stakeholders, communicating changes effectively through remote tools.
2. Estimating:
- Conduct takeoffs from client-supplied drawings
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for mezzanine flooring projects, considering material, labor, and other relevant costs.
- Work with the sales team to integrate estimates into proposals and quotations.
- Analyze project specifications and collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing.
3. Sales Facilitation and Administrative Support:
- Assist in compiling and preparing comprehensive proposals and quotations, ensuring all technical and financial information is accurate and presented clearly.
- Maintain up-to-date records of proposals, quotations, and client interactions in the CRM system.
- Support the sales team with administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, managing digital calendars, and preparing sales materials.
- Coordinate and participate in virtual internal meetings.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills
- Proven experience in drafting and design, preferably in the construction or industrial sector.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools. Experience with Tekla software is beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
- 2-3 years of Estimating experience within the construction industry
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for remote work.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment.
- Prior experience in a sales support or facilitation role is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software, with experience in remote collaboration tools.
