POSITION SUMMARY
As a Product Owner, you will work closely with product leadership, customer success and software development throughout the product life cycle. A person in this role should be passionate about building products that customers love. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver on ARCOS’s vision and strategy. This role is approximately 90% execution-focused and 10% strategy-focused.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Translate user problems into actionable stories and tasks
- Execute on roadmap initiatives and communicate the scope of work, customer value and anticipated outcomes of our solution in regular updates.
- Review prototypes and software in development with product leadership or customers to ensure the solutions we are building will address their problems.
- Use JIRA and Aha! to break roadmap initiatives down into epics and user stories, and report on development progress.
- Contribute suggestions for new features and feature enhancements gathered from internal teams and customer feedback tools.
Collaborate with technology partners to craft and deliver solutions
- Work with development and user experience teams to craft solutions to customer problems.
- Provide product specifications, requirements, or user stories to turn solution designs into actionable development tasks.
- Work daily with the development team to answer questions, brainstorm solutions, and ensure progress toward sprint goals is made.
- Participate in scrum ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure the backlog of user stories is prioritized and stories are well understood by technical teams.
- Be available for developers to answer questions and keep the development team moving forward effectively.
- Work with engineering to estimate the time required to deliver roadmap initiatives and smaller work items, communicating with stakeholders through execution.
Be the steward of a high-quality user experience for existing products, customer experiences, or use cases. Speak to the value our products provide users both internally and externally.
- Use customer feedback and usage data to draw meaningful conclusions on product adoption and customer satisfaction.
- Cultivate relationships and build trust with cross-functional colleagues.
- Contribute content and context to release notes and other product communications.
- Speak internally about our products and provide demonstrations as needed.
- Collaborate with the support team to resolve bugs and gather user feedback.

Ability to:
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously, on a team and independently.
- Lead and collaborate as a member of a cross functional team.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: product leadership, subject matter experts, professional services, customer success, support and software developers.
Skills & Experience:
- 1-4 years’ work experience in product management with SaaS products or equivalent experience in a similar role. Certification in a Product Management program a plus.
- Certification in a Product Management program a plus.
- Experience with Work Management Software, Scheduling or other Utility-focused technology is a plus.
- Experience designing, developing, marketing, or supporting SaaS-based enterprise software applications.
- Experience with Agile development processes, with both local and remote engineering teams.
- Experience working with business customers, in a sales, consulting, or support capacity.
- Results-oriented approach with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to travel up to 15%, including domestic and international. The ability to travel by air is mandatory. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
