Position Title: Lead Buyer - Procurement -HVM
Eligibility Criteria:
Years of Experience: 8- 12 years
Job Experience: - Minimum 5+ years working experience in any of the following field/
- fields are mandatory. Experience in working in a multinational high technology
- corporation, in procurement, Order Management, supply chain & operations are
- preferred.
- Educational: Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree
- preferred

- Operations
Primary Responsibilities: - Leading projects for assigned material groups; supervising / coaching projects of
- commodity buyers
- Schedule the flow of quality materials from high-performance and price-competitive
- supply sources. Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules
- Support the purchasing function and communicate any supply problems which may
- impact on business operations
- Handing shortage parts effectively by closely working with Supplier and SBM.
- Negotiating with Suppliers for the delivery of the purchased commodity and targeted
- savings thru effective Supply negotiations
- Measuring key Supplier OTD metrics on a monthly basis
- Identifying and presenting Value Analysis opportunities to the Business and exerting
- influence for change towards cost-effective alternative in a Continuous Improvement
- environment
- Working in close collaboration with the Quality Assurance, WH, Logistics, Finance
- functions in influencing decisions on issue resolution and process adherence
- Working with Group Management to ensure that Group-approved strategies, policies
- and procedures are adhered to. Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing
- policies and procedures. Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant
- departments on purchasing processes
- Maintain the end-to-end procurement process to monitoring and reporting on the KPI
- impact of transactions. Prepare reports and updates as and when required
- Purchase goods, materials, components in line with specified cost, quality and delivery
- targets
- Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization
- Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications
Mandatory Skills required to perform the job:
- Previous experience of working in a purchasing team preferably within a manufacturing
- environment
- Conducts purchasing transactions and negotiates pricing, which requires considerable
- exercise of initiative and independent judgment.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of purchasing, specifically relating to fabrication
- mechanical and outsourcing
- Skill in analyzing complex technical specifications.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel required.
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems for determining requirements for recurring
- production
- Good communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem-solving abilities
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets Commercial and
- financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the production,
- manufacture and customer order fulfilment
- Familiarity with an SAP MM Module
