Senior Frontend Engineer

THE ROLE

Zoomo is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to be an integral part of our engineering team. 

You will be responsible for both maintaining and helping to steer the development of our Asset Management System as well as contribute to the development of greenfield projects. Your work will have a large and immediately visible impact - the products you’ll work on form the backbone of our business and will be used to solve problems for both our business and our customers in Europe, the Americas and Australia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You’ll deliver business value by contributing to the complete software development lifecycle from inception to delivery and its post-release support. You will be responsible for maintaining coding quality, design and implementation of new and agreed architectures using the best standards and modern processes. You will work closely with other engineers and participate in discussions within the wider team to share knowledge, experience, best practices and collaboratively raise the standard of engineering.
• You’ll collaborate with other engineers (both frontend and backend) and other Technology team members (such as Product and Design) to help deliver Zoomo’s technical vision, strategy and roadmap.
• You have a passion for quality and know what best-in-class engineering looks like and want to help drive the journey.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building, shipping and maintaining highly scalable web applications.
• Strong experience in end-to-end application development covering scoping, delivery, maintenance and post-release support. 
• Strong fluency in TypeScript and React.
• Experience in one or more CSS frameworks such as MUI, Tailwind, etc.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, and collaborating with Backend Engineers.
• Experience writing maintainable code with testing where appropriate.
• Comfortable delivering technical projects and can effectively break down large tasks into smaller deliverable ones, and providing feedback to other Engineers and the Product team.
• An understanding of the business impact of projects you build and the ability to prioritise projects by balancing between craft, speed, and the bottom line.
• Placing a high value on collaboration, including experience working remotely across time zones (with Australia).

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

• Transport or LEV industry experience.
• Experience with backend technologies, NodeJS, Postgres, etc., or consider yourself a full stack engineer.
• Experience working in a Kanban environment (through Jira) with convention commit patterns.
• Experience with UI/UX design.
• Experience developing and deploying tech stacks in the cloud: GCP and/or AWS.
• Experience with dashboarding and visualisation libraries, such as Chart.js or deck.gl.
