The Sales Strategy & Operations (SS&O) organization guides and executes critical business decisions across the global advertising sales organization through strategy, analytics and operations. Team members are experts in business strategy and operations as well as analytical and strategic thinking. They are pragmatic and results-oriented.
The Central SS&O Global Operations team designs and executes the internal operations of the global sales organization, translating global sales strategic priorities into action across the 1000+ sales team, sales leadership, and cross functional partners. Central SS&O enables efficiency and effectiveness at scale for the global sales organization via systems, tools, and processes.
What you’ll do:
- Pinterest’s Sales Strategy & Operations (SS&O) is a ~50 person organization that supports all individual Enterprise and SMB sales teams across the globe; and owns central, scaled analysis, systems, and data functions for the Global Sales organization
- You will develop and institute approaches to consistently identify and implement improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of the SS&O team itself
- Set targets and milestone for overall SS&O productivity objectives - efficiency and effectiveness; monitor these targets; provide consistent updates to SS&O leadership and other key stakeholders on these targets and milestones
- Structure recurring feedback mechanisms to capture SS&O team input (e.g., time studies, feedback surveys, etc.); translate data and findings into insights and improvements opportunities; socialize feedback with SS&O teams and leadership to align on focus areas
- Define SS&O productivity roadmap based on findings from feedback mechanisms above and additional mechanisms, with alignment from SS&O leadership
- Create a framework to size and prioritize SS&O productivity opportunities / needs to inform annual and ongoing SS&O priority and resource planning
- Develop and run continuous process to measure progress and success of individual projects; align with project owners on project success metrics; identify required course corrections when milestones are not met and escalate as needed
- Define and execute cadence, mechanisms, and messaging to communicate SS&O productivity objectives and projects and progress against them to the full team
- Develop, own, and execute individual operational and process-focused SS&O productivity projects (such as intra team comms approach, knowledge management, and readouts of quarterly objectives)
- Work with the Central SS&O Systems and Data teams on individual SS&O productivity improvements related to systems + data - structure user feedback (serve as the ‘voice of SS&O’) and core business needs to inform solutions
What we’re looking for:
- 7+ years of professional experience in strategy & operations in highly cross functional environments such as management consulting, corporate strategy or technology/media companies, or equivalent experience
- Understanding of sales and digital advertising platforms plus working knowledge of sales systems and tools including Salesforce
- Passion for productivity improvements and cross functionally partnership
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, tightly manage and execute processes in well organized way while also able to prioritize effectively and focus on the most impactful areas
- Develop clear plans to shape the work needed to drive improvement opportunities; and drive those plans through to full completion
- Effectively navigate complex cross functional partnerships; build strong relationships with cross functional stakeholders
- Highly structured, clear, and concise written and verbal communication that effectively drives action from leadership level audiences. Can simplify and translate complex findings / messages to drive leadership alignment
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to provide business insights
- Successful in fast-paced environments
- “Builder” mindset - proven ability to independently identify problems and pursue solutions for them
- “Growth” mindset - seek and provide feedback; curious about how to improve

- We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times/quarter and therefore needs to be in a commutable distance from one of the following offices: San Francisco, CA or New York, NY.

Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, travel, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.
