Job Description
Candidate must have above average (intermediate) Excel and PowerPoint skills, and the ability to learn the Yardi tenant billing system and other Real Estate systems.
Excellent customer service skills a required.
SUMMARY
Works under minimal supervision administer the institution's real estate projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Utilize creativity and design background to conduct research and create ad hoc reports at request of Senior
Management including: vacancy reports, floor plan subsets, rent schedules, appraisal district valuations, maps and
other media to increase understanding and communication of ideas and strategic planning for Senior
Management.
2. Project management to channel and facilitate communication with all necessary outside vendors and internal
departments of UT Southwestern to meet critical time lines, including communication between: financial, legal,
engineering, architectural and user groups for new construction and renovations on and off campus. Ex. Work
with Director, user groups, and Landlord to coordinate a 500 person move to an 80,000 SF space, including
assisting in: Leasing, Space Planning, IR infrastructure, Construction.
3. Conduct due diligence to evaluate prospective acquisitions including handling appraisals, escrow funds, surveys,
asbestos reports, and architectural drawings and internal coordination with Physical Plant, Police, EH & S, and
UT System Real Estate.
4. Support management and operation of over 10 properties including: commercial, healthcare, laboratory, and
administrative facilities.
5. Management and reconciliation of financials for the department using Yardi Genesis and PeopleSoft to track:
deposits, tenant bill backs, monthly ledger reconciliations, monthly statements, collections, lock box reporting,
generate expense requisitions and check requests.
6. Financial Planning and coordination of tenant finish out and move.
7. Provide support for leasing, land and building acquisitions and sales, including expense tracking.
8. Management of lease, vendor and departmental financial files, including implementation and migration of hard
copy leases to Archibus and billing from Yardi Genesis property management software.
9. Represent UT Southwestern to Appraisal District, Tax Office, and navigate property tax exemptions
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school graduate and four (4) years related work experience are required.
