Online Lecturer - Computing Science

FutureLearn are a global Online Programme Management provider working with Universities to develop, launch and run online degrees and short courses. We are growing and expanding our team of global faculty and are currently looking for academic staff to join our team as contracted part time online lecturers within our new computing science team.

We are currently seeking lecturers for a number of MSc computing programme and expect to expand in this subject area in the future.

What is the opportunity?

We are currently seeking lecturers for a number of MSc computing programme and expect to expand in this subject area in the future. We are particularly interested in lecturers who have expertise in:

• Cyber Security
• Data Science
• Automation
• Data Visualisation
• Machine Learning
• Digital Forensics
• Computing and Operating Systems
• Security Testing
• Networking
• Cyber Risk Management
• Software Development
• Databases

What you will bring to the table:

As part of this role, you will be required to undertake online teaching and assessment as well as online research project (dissertation) supervision in the future. There is also some online content creation and development work to be undertaken.

If you would like to be considered for one of these roles, we would welcome candidates, from any country with the following:

 Essential

• A PhD or substantial industry experience within a relevant subject area
• Experience of teaching and learning within post-graduate Higher Education
• Experience of teaching within the computing science subject area
• Eligibility for Fellowship of AdvanceHE
• Excellent team working and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience of online teaching and learning
• Experience of dissertation / research project supervision
• Experience of teaching and learning within post-graduate UK Higher Education
• Experience of teaching online UK Computing Science Programmes
