Position start date: December 2, 2024Job SummaryThe State of Florida requires a 4-40 Customer Representative License to do this job. Safepoint will provide paid training and assist you in obtaining the license if you are selected for our upcoming training class starting on December 2, 2024. Upon completion of the training you will handle incoming calls from customers, agents, and policyholders related to insurance applications or existing policies. You will work in a collaborative environment providing administrative support for the Underwriting department.

What we’re looking for- Ability to obtain and maintain P&C insurance licenses in all 50 states
- Passion for great customer service over the phone and in call center environments
- Strong punctuality and reliable attendance
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous call center and customer service experience required
- Previous Property & Casualty experience is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interact on a professional level with internal and external personnel and partners
- Results driven with strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized
- English and Spanish speaking and writing skills desired but not required
Duties and responsibilities- Provide excellent customer service to agents and policy holders in a moderate to high volume call center environment
- Process corrections or adjust records when needed, following the appropriate company guidelines
- Maintenance of license with the Florida State Department of Financial Services
- Review incoming endorsement requests and/or email communications
- Review, organize, and forward information to be escalated for resolution as needed
- Adhere to the established productivity and quality metrics established
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
Essential Functions- Ability to use telephone and computer systems to communicate with and service customers
- Ability to use computer system to research information on risks
- Ability to prepare for, obtain, and maintain resident Property & Casualty insurance licensing through the Florida DFS, and reciprocal licenses in all 50 states in the continental United States
- Ability to handle 50-80 incoming phone calls per day
- Ability to reliably commute to the assigned office location
- Ability to adhere to regular attendance schedule on-site
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.
