Join us as a Legal Counsel Intern to support our Italian market operations and help shape Qonto's legal framework in Italy preferably as soon as possible in Paris or Milan office.
You will support Maddalena Malzanni, our Legal Counsel for Italy, to provide high-quality, risk-focused legal advice across commercial areas and work closely with external law firms and manage administrative tasks to ensure smooth legal operations.
👩💻🧑💻 As a Legal Counsel Intern at Qonto, you will
• Draft, review and analyze contractual documentation for new products, such as Pay Later and Tap to Pay.
• Support legal aspects of marketing campaigns, partnerships, and procurement requests for the Italian market
• Assist in conducting legal research and providing insights on Italian regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with external law firms and internal teams to ensure smooth legal operations
• Participate in product launches to ensure full compliance with Italian banking law
🤔 What you can expect
• Market/Team Context: You'll be part of Qonto's legal team during an exciting and challenging phase in Italy, working directly with our Italian Legal Counsel on various strategic projects
• Mentorship & Growth: Daily meetings and weekly one-on-one sessions with Maddalena, who will provide comprehensive onboarding and guidance
• Learning Environment: Exposure to both product and commercial legal work, with opportunities to develop expertise in fintech regulations

You'll work with Maddalena Malzanni, who currently manages legal responsibilities for Qonto's Italian market. She brings extensive experience in both product and commercial legal work, handling everything from new product launches to marketing partnerships. Her mentorship approach focuses on providing comprehensive guidance while encouraging gradual autonomy, making this an ideal opportunity for professional growth in fintech law.
🏅 About You
• Education: You have completed or are in the final stages of your master law degree in Italy, a previous internship experience in similar roles is a plus
• Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of Italian commercial and banking law
• Language Skills: Fluent in Italian and English; additional languages are a plus
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, practical solutions
• Organization: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively
