Buyer (Quote Focused)

The Buyer will work seamlessly with the Trachte estimating, engineering, and purchasing teams.  They will quote and negotiate unique products and services based on customer specifications and requirements. This position will own the quote beginning at the initial project estimate, through the engineering phase, and to the completion of the purchase order.  

Position Responsibilities

·       Submit, track, and negotiate quotes with suppliers based on customer needs and the strategies provided by the buyers.

·       Ensure quotes are received timely, are cost competitive, and are accurate.

·       Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quotes for goods and services

·       Stay up to date with sourcing strategies, supplier performance, and supplier capabilities.

·       Work closely with various departments within the company to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Requirements

Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Supply Chain or equivalent experience
1-3 years of experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
Technical aptitude with a familiarity of electrical products such as panels, breakers, etc.
Must be able to work on-site at our Madison, WI office
