RPO Recruitment, a leading recruitment agency in the Mining industry, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Shift Overseer to join our client's team in Limpopo province. As a Shift Overseer, you will be responsible for overseeing mining operations and ensuring the safe and efficient extraction of minerals.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day shift operations of the mine, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and production targets.
- Coordinate and schedule mining activities, including drilling, blasting, and ore extraction.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify maintenance needs.
- Supervise a team of miners and equipment operators, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures and safe work practices.
- Review and interpret geological and survey data to make informed decisions related to mine operations.
- Prepare and submit shift reports on mining activities, including production volumes and safety performance.
- Collaborate with other shift overseers, engineers, and supervisors to optimize mining operations.
Requirements
- Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines / National Certificate in Hard Rock Underground
- Shiftboss Certificate
- Mine Overseer Certificate would be advantageous
- 5 years' underground mining experience of which 2 years must be in a trackless mining environment as a Supervisor
- 2 years previously appointed or has acted/relieved as a Production Shift Overseer.
- Good knowledge of mining legislation and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
