We are seeking a highly skilled Head of SEO to join our dynamic team at Pulumi. In this role, you will improve the Pulumi website’s visibility and search engine rankings to increase organic traffic and drive user acquisition. You will collaborate closely with the content, demand generation, and engineering teams to identify growth opportunities, develop hypotheses, and implement solutions that fuel our company's growth trajectory.

In This Role You Will:
- Develop and execute search engine optimizations strategies to fuel organic traffic growth
- Collaborate with the content team and external contractors to develop and optimize high-quality, keyword-rich content for improved organic visibility.
- Monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms, providing regular reports and recommendations for optimisation.
- Develop and implement a link building strategy across partner and community sites.
- Optimize website content, meta tags, headers and URLs to ensure alignment with target keywords and enhance search engine crawlability.
- Identify and resolve web issues that may affect crawlability, indexing, and performance.
- Analyze user data and behavior to identify opportunities to build more optimized content funnels or web journeys.
- Conduct SEO audits, competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement and stay ahead of competitors in search rankings.
- Utilize data analysis and A/B testing methodologies to measure the impact of SEO and web content initiatives.
We’re Looking For Someone With:
- At least 5+ years of experience as a SEO Engineer, SEO Manager, or similar role, preferably in a SaaS or cloud technology company.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms and digital marketing trends, with a strong understanding of the search landscape.
- Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner and Google Analytics.
- Experience with data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Segment).
- Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML/CSS, React, etc.) and modern software development practices.
- Excellent analytical skills and a data-driven mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
- Stays up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in growth hacking and user acquisition.
- Self-starter with a passion for learning and staying ahead of industry trends.
Compensation:
- Base Salary Hiring Range: $160,000-195,000
- All full time employee offers at Pulumi include base salary, bonus or variable, equity and benefits (details below).
