Our client in the financial industry is seeking a motivated Entry Level Accountant to join their team. This presents an excellent opportunity for career growth within the company.

Summary:

The role entails working across multiple functions within the servicing department, covering tasks such as invoice payments, reporting, transfers, boarding, deboarding, cashiering, quality assurance (QA), accounting, and IT.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate inter and intra-departmental activities, resolving inquiries or issues related to loan documentation.
• Respond to inquiries promptly, referring them to the appropriate department or personnel.
• Assume responsibility for special projects, including gathering data and preparing reports for senior management, audits, and other personnel.
• Process, solve, and address complex customer transactions, problems, or inquiries.
• Answer telephones and provide assistance to investors as required.
• Monitor investor account details for non-payments and delayed payments.
• Collaborate closely with investors to research and resolve queries related to billings.
• Process and post credit card transactions from investors.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Navigate the servicing system to ensure timely and accurate posting of borrower payments.
• Monitor bank accounts to ensure appropriate balances.
• Provide support in answering telephones and addressing inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting for mortgage and/or financial industries.
