INFORMATION SECURITY ARCHITECT

• Ability to work independently to execute all tasks required with minimum oversight
• Subject matter expertise in health authority information security policies, practices and standards
• Knowledge of Information Security concepts, tools and practices
• Knowledge of how to conduct information security and risk-related audits and assessments particularly in a Canadian/BC Health Authority environment
• Experience providing advisory services to management and staff to ensure information security is considered in the design and/or redesign of programs, services projects and initiatives
• Experience providing monitoring and oversight of information security controls
• Experience with implementing and managing SIEM tools.
• Certified in Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), SANS/GIAC security certification, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

• The successful candidate will work primarily with the Director, but also with the Information Security team, internal and external stakeholders, vendors. 
• Leads information security, vulnerability and risk assessments related to the security features of information systems, networks and related administrative activities.  Recommends mitigations strategies where applicable.
• Collaborates with teams within the digital technology function in leading the security vision and implementing strategy on security architecture of applications, programs and innovative initiatives. 
• Contributes to development, maintenance and implementation of information security policies, procedures and processes.
• Prepares reports, papers, updates and information security briefings for presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
