The Position
Ballotpedia seeks a 100% remote, full-time Customer Success Specialist to join its collaborative Communications Department.
The Customer Success Specialist is a vital part of Ballotpedia’s mission, acting as the first point of contact for our readers, candidates, and various audiences. This role demands a balance of reactive and proactive approaches to ensuring high-quality customer service and continuous improvement of our reader engagement processes. The ideal candidate is passionate about our mission, possesses strong research and communication skills, and is dedicated to providing exemplary service. They will manage inbound reader and candidate emails to address their questions and concerns, conduct bi-annual reader surveys, and track other customer experience metrics to measure and analyze Ballotpedia’s audiences' satisfaction with our organization's products and services to others.
The ideal candidate is empathetic, resourceful, and strongly desires to serve others. They are skilled in remote, email-based customer service, working with teammates from various departments and all levels to troubleshoot technical and complex issues. Environment
The Customer Success Specialist will work remotely from their home location. All Ballotpedia staff work remotely. To join Ballotpedia, you must have a computer with internet access. Ballotpedia uses Google Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, and more), Slack, and Asana to accomplish our goals. Working familiarity and/or experience with these or similar platforms is highly desirable.
Ballotpedia has a flexible work environment, BP Flex, in which every employee enjoys unlimited vacation and flexibility in scheduling. During new employee training, each employee will be oriented to the principles of Ballotpedia’s flexible environment.
Compensation
The starting pay range for the Customer Success Specialist is $44,000-$49,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
In addition to salary, Ballotpedia offers performance bonuses and a $8,000 annual benefits stipend, which can be used to pay for a full benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance; retirement accounts; and more. If benefits are not elected, the $8,000 stipend is treated as regular income and added to salary.
