Repair Technician

Role
Build state of the art automotive prototype vehicles, systems, and subsystems
Work efficiently within a multidisciplinary cooperative environment
Critical thinking skills to work without instruction manuals or workbooks
Approach problems in a consistent and systematic way
Working with engineering to fabricate and/or modify system and subsystem components Maintain a high knowledge level of high voltage, low voltage, and general electric vehicle systems
Must have the ability to work with various teams including General Assembly, BIW, Quality, and Engineering across a wide variety of issues and/ or corrective actions identified in production, testing and inspection process
Knowledge of: Methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in the manufacturing and rectification of vehicles
Perform rectification on electric power train, chassis, body, and other components through a comprehensive diagnosis and evaluation
Diagnose problems quickly, find solutions through root-cause analysis, and be empowered to take immediate action
Assist and interface with Quality, Design, and Process Engineering teams to improve work instructions, parts, jigs, tools, and other related components
Operate and maintain a wide variety of shop tools, power tools, and automotive electrical test

Qualifications
Automotive technician degree, certification or equivalent work experience
5 years Luxury Automobile Technician experience
3 years electric vehicle technician experience
Must possess a valid driver license with good records
Microsoft Office skills
Willing to work overtime, weekend, etc... Advantageous
Professional Race team experience
You bring your own professional automotive toolbox
Understanding Electrical schematics
Fabrication skills (welding, milling, lathe) and wire harness building (soldering, crimping, splicing) etc.
Experience in building precision mechanical assemblies
Proof of excellence in your past position
