Job Summary
We are seeking an Senior Scientist to join our Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) team. This pivotal role will focus on technology development, including TCM capsule and pellet formulations, foot patches, and TCM-based contract research. The ideal candidate will also support claims for existing products and engage in new technology research and investigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Development: Lead the research and development of innovative TCM formulations, including capsules, pellets, and foot patches, focusing on efficacy and consumer safety.
- Contract Research: Conduct TCM-based contract research to support product development and enhance scientific validation.
- Claims Support: Provide scientific expertise for claims related to existing products, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- New Technology Research: Investigate and explore new technologies that can advance TCM product development, staying ahead of industry trends.
- Collaboration: Maintain effective communication with collaborators, including academic and industry partners, to facilitate research and development initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and coach new team members, helping to develop their skills and integrate them into the team effectively.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all scientific documentation, protocols, and reports in line with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Education: PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmacognosy, Herbal Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology development within Traditional Chinese Medicine or related herbal products.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in mentoring and managing team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of TCM principles, formulation development, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, data-driven approach to research and product development.
