Site Engineer Team Lead

Connexa is an independent New Zealand mobile towers and passive infrastructure business, operating a nationwide portfolio of over 2350 mobile sites. Connexa’ s vision is to enable a more connected digital future for Aotearoa New Zealand.

As the Deployment Engineer Team Leader, you will be rolling up your sleeves leading the Deployment Engineering team from the front. This means, working with the team to make sure we are deploying new build and upgraded cell phone towers in the best way possible. There will also be the need to get stuck in and work at the ground level from time to time.

You will build relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service companies to plan, design and deliver telecommunications infrastructure that meets the technical specifications within budget and delivery timeframes.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead & motivate our team of Deployment Engineers; leading by example, coaching, 1:1’s
• Prepare and interpret specifications, drawings, and regulations for the passive infrastructure build
• Produce ‘bill of materials’ for the project based on design requirements and providing a future forecast
• Develop concept design, plan and track progress
• Vendor relationship management

Requirements

You’ll have:

• Leadership experience from a high-volume civil infrastructure environment
• Strong analytical skills with ability to monitor & track progress, identifying challenges before they arise
• Experience in motivating & empowering high-performance teams
• A strong understanding of technical Project Management processes within the delivery space
• Fantastic communication skills in all formats
• A creative approach to problem-solving
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• A recognition and embrace of differences and diversity in the workplace
• A growth mindset and desire for continuous improvement
